About

Finding the right fit in therapy matters.

I believe therapy should feel both supportive and purposeful. My goal is to create a space where you can better understand yourself while also building the tools needed to create lasting change.

I approach work with curiosity, directness, and respect for the individual experience. You don’t need to have everything figured out to begin. We work through it all together.

The Work Behind Ascent

Anthony Easter, LCSW

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Colorado and a Licensed Master Social Worker in New York, with experience across outpatient mental health, substance use, and community-based settings. My work has included individual therapy, group facilitation, and supporting clients navigating complex systems, high expectations, and significant life transitions.

Across these settings, I’ve worked with individuals at very different stages of change, some just beginning to explore patterns, others actively working to maintain growth. That range has shaped how I approach therapy: with flexibility, clarity, and a focus on meeting you where you are while still moving toward meaningful progress.

I have experience working with LGBTQ+ individuals and am part of the community myself. This shapes how I approach therapy—creating a space that is affirming, thoughtful, and grounded in a deeper understanding of identity, relationships, and lived experience.

Ascent Therapy was created out of a desire to build something more intentional. I wanted a space that feels grounded and elevated, where therapy is not only supportive, but also structured and purposeful. A space where you are both understood and challenged, and where the work we do translates into real shifts in your day-to-day life.

I’m especially intentional about creating space for individuals from underrepresented backgrounds, offering care that is thoughtful, aware, and grounded in respect for lived experience.

My work integrates person-centered therapy with CBT, DBT, and insight-oriented approaches, allowing us to both understand patterns at a deeper level and actively develop the tools needed for lasting change.

How I Work

Clients often come to therapy feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of how to move forward. My role is to help bring clarity to those experiences while also creating structure and direction.

I don’t believe therapy should feel passive or unclear. We actively work toward understanding patterns, building effective strategies, and creating changes that feel sustainable in your day-to-day life.

I value honesty, collaboration, and creating a space where you feel both supported and challenged.
